![]() ![]() ![]() So my immediate problem is fixed but there's clearly an issue with the latest version of the driver. I would also point out that the latest (and likely last) driver for the 4600 graphics is version 15. ![]() I rolled back my driver to an earlier version (sometime in late 2016) and everything was fine again. Intel HD 4600 (Desktop 1.25 GHz) BENCHMARKS (230,189) MKT (0.9) BUILDS (15) 15 558,484 Release date: Q2 2013. I have no idea if this is related or not but thought I should mention it (I've never seen this happen before in 25 years of using Windows).Ĭhecking in Device Manager my card is an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, Driver provider Intel Corporation, Date and version 20. The original Age of Empires III game was still present. As I’m a fan of AOE 2, I’m just realizing that the minimum requirements for AOE 2: DE require a dedicated video card. I even participated in AOE: DE multiplayer beta with the game running fine on my machine. Nothing fancy, but it runs AOE2: HD fine and I host games from steam all the time. The programs were still installed, I just had to go grubbing around in the Program Files (x86) folder to find them. It’s just an i5-6200U with integrated Intel 520 graphics. Strangely enough both expansion packs (Asian Dynasties / War Chiefs) had disappeared from my start menu and Cortana search didn't find them. No other applications have presented any problems recently. I hadn't used Age of Empires III Asian Dynasties expansion on it for a few months, but when I did last night there was significant tearing and flickering on the game's menu screens (the video clip that preceded the game was fine). PC is running Windows 10 with the latest Fall Creators Update (1709). ![]()
